The International Drone Racing Association (IDRA), the world’s largest association for commercial and recreational pilots, has finally completed the list for the Official Commercial Drone for the remainder of the 2018 season. For the 2018 season, IDRA has selected and named the Inspired Flight IF700 as the Official Commercial Drone of the organization. This huge announcement comes nearly two months after the UVify Denver Internationals, Race 4 of the 2018 Challengers Cup.
As posted on the IDRA’s official website, the Inspired Flight IF700 will be integrated with the marketing campaigns of the remaining 15 drone races in the 2018 season. This also includes the Dover Finals & International event at the iconic Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.
By naming the Inspired Flight IF700, IDRA continues to build on the foundation created by its three-year partnership with AUVSI ( Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International), an international non-profit organization that promotes and supports the unmanned systems and robotics industry.

In 2016, IDRA signed a three-year deal with ESPN to broadcast drone races. In addition to ESPN partnership, IDRA also announced its 3YR partnership to distribute drone race content on Amazon Prime Instant Video. IDRA also teamed up with DailyMotion to distribute contents from Drone Racing Series and Challengers Cup.
